Ep 13: Fenchihu Old Street, Starry Starry Night 星空 Movie Set and Aiyu Jelly in Chiayi
![]() Continuing on our exploration of Fenchihu from the last episode, we take a stroll through Fenchihu Old Street, which stretches for 500 meters and is the old street with the highest elevation in Taiwan. It is filled with little shops and stalls selling local products, souvenirs and snacks - including the famous 'Train Cakes'.
![]() Also in Fenchihu is the movie set for Starry Starry Night (星空), a 2011 Taiwanese-Chinese fantasy drama film, where you can tour and browse through the props and memorabilia.
![]() Last stop is a gem tucked away in the back alley of the main Fenchihu area; “Aiyu Bo E Chu” which means “Uncle Aiyu’s home” in the Taiwanese dialect. This quaint cafe is run by the Chen family, who concocts innovative versions of the Aiyu Jelly drink, typically n tangy citrus flavours, and this cafe's own creation, the Aiyu Coffee Milk Jelly drink.
